Abstract: ob＜x＞jective: To study the effect of low frequency stimulation of globulus pallidus internus（GPi）in the treatment of freezing of gait in Parkinson’s disease. Methods: To observe the effect of deep brain stimulation on the freezing of gait of Parkinson’s disease in 2 patients who underwent deep brain stimulation at the Parkinson’s disease center of The affiliated hospital of xuzhou medical university. Results: Compared with the high frequency stimulation, the freezing gait questionnaire score of the patients using the low frequency stimulation improved more. Conclusion: Low-frequency stimulation of the globulus pallidus internus can improve the freezing of gait of Parkinson’s disease without exacerbating the tremor symptoms.
