Abstract:
ob<x>jective To observe the efficacy and safety of whole brain radiotherapy combined with anlotinib in the treatment of brain me<x>tastases of lung cancer with refractory peritumoral edema. Methods The clinical data of 11 patients with brain me<x>tastases of lung cancer with serious peritumorous brain edema treated in Department of radiotherapy,Affiliated Hospital of Xuzhou Medical University from 2019 to 2020 were retrospectively analyzed.During the brain radiotherapy, anlotinib was administered at a dose of 10-12mg/d,simultaneously for 14 consecutive days. The tumor volume, cerebral edema volume, edema index, kappa functional state (KPS) score, symptoms and signs were evaluated before and after treatment. The adverse reactions during treatment were also recorded. Results After the treatment, the tumor volume, cerebral edema volume, edema index and KPS score were significantly improved (P<0.05), the overall quality of life of patients was improved, and the adverse reactions during treatment were tolerable. Conclusions Preliminary observation infers that whole brain radiotherapy combined with anlotinib can effectively reduce peritumoral edema, control brain me<x>tastases, improve clinical symptoms and quality of life, and have good safety
