Abstract:
Idiopathic scoliosis (IS) has a high incidence rate in adolescents, and its pathogenesis is not clear. Clinically, adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS) patients are often classified according to their Cobb angle. Mild AIS is less harmful to the body, while moderate and severe AIS will affect physical and mental health, even endanger life. In clinical treatment, brace conservative treatment or surgical treatment is often adopted according to the severity of AIS patients. In recent years, in order to reduce the adverse effects of brace wearing on the body and reduce the necessity of surgery, the rehabilitation therapy of AIS has gradually attracted people’s attention and become one of the treatment options for AIS patients. This paper reviews the rehabilitation therapy applicable to AIS in the field of traditional Chinese and Western medicine, and summarizes different rehabilitation therapies from the aspects of treatment concept, mode, indication, treatment effect, advantages and disadvantages, in order to provide reference for the selection of rehabilitation treatment methods for AIS patients.
