Abstract:
ob<x>jective: We aim to analyze the effects of hemoglobin level, tumor size, site, peritumoral edema range and the direction of peritumoral edema in patients with high-grade glioma on tumor recurrence pattern and prognosis. Methods: Eligible patients admitted to the Afiliated Hospital of Xuzhou Medical University from January , 2013 to February , 2018 were selected. The effects of hemoglobin level, tumor size, tumor site, peritumoral edema range and the direction of peritumoral edema on the recurrence pattern were analyzed. To assess the factors influencing progression-free survival outcomes. Results:The recurrence pattern of glioma is related to tumor site(p=0.046) and peritumoral edema(p=0.003). Peritumoral edema(p=0.005),haemoglobin levels in radiotherapy(p=0.0002), haemoglobin levels before treatment(p<0.0001), pathology grade(p<0.0001),IDH-1 mutation(p<0.0001) were correlated with progression-free survival, in which haemoglobin levels before treatment(P=0.047) and IDH-1 mutation(p<0.0001) were independent influencing factors of survival time. Conclusion:For patients with high-grade glioma, hemoglobin level, tumor size, site, edema range and the direction of peritumoral edema should be fully combined to guide radiotherapy target delineation and adopt individualized treatment strategies to improve the quality of life and survival.
