Abstract: Objective To investigate the clinical effectiveness and safety of fractional carbon dioxide(CO₂) laser combined with triamcinolone acetonide and econazole nitrate cream in the treatment of vulvar hypopigmentation disease.Methods A total of 80 patients with vulvar hypopigmentation disease who were admitted to Xuzhou Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital Affiliated to Xuzhou Medical University from November 2020 to October 2021 were selected. They were divided into two groups: a research group(n=38) and a control group(n=42). The control group was treated with triamcinolone acetonide and econazole nitrate cream, while the research group received fractional CO₂ laser combined with triamcinolone acetonide and econazole nitrate cream.Both groups were compared for clinical manifestation scores, clinical effective rate and adverse reactions.Results After treatment, both groups presented remarkably lower scores of clinical manifestation than those before treatment(P<0.05), where the research group showed lower scores than the control group(P<0.05).The clinical effective rate of the research group was significantly higher than that in the control group(97.37% vs 54.76%,P<0.05).There was no statistical in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions Fractional CO₂ laser combined with triamcinolone acetonide and econazole nitrate cream is effective for the treatment of vulvar hypopigmentation disease, which is superior to triamcinolone acetonide and econazole nitrate cream alone.
