Abstract:
Object To investigate the anti-fatigue effects of Panax Japonicus and Disporopsis pernyi. Method The mice were divided into three groups: control group, Panax Japonicus group and Disporopsis pernyi group. Burdened swimming test and hypoxia tolerance test were conducted in mice to determine their exhaustive swimming time and death time. Blood lactic acid content, serum urea nitrogen and the liver weight coefficient were measured. Result Compared with the control group, the extract of Panax Japonicus increased the exhaustive swimming time and hypoxia tolerance time significantly. It also reduced the serum lactic acid, lactate dehydrogenase, the liver weight coefficient and the levels of blood urea nitrogen compared with the control group. But there was not significant difference between Disporopsis pernyi group and the control group. Conclusion Panax Japonicus has the effect of alleviating exercise fatigue, while Disporopsis pernyi isn’t a substitute for it.
