Abstract:
Objective To investigate the changes of accommodative function after Femtosecond laser-assisted excimer laser in situ keratomileusis(FS-LASIK) in myopi as .Methods 40 myopic patients(80 eyes) who underwent FS-LASIK were randomly selected in this study, they were divided into 2 groups according to pre-operative refractive status:moderate myopia group(20 cases 40 eyes)and high myopia group(20 cases 40 eyes).Their accommodative function including the accommodative response (AR)、amplitude of accommodation(AMP)、negative relative accommodation/positive relative accommodation(NRA/PRA) and accommodative facility (AF) were measured three times(before surgery、1 week and 1 month after surgery).Result In the two groups,AMP at postoperative 1 week was significantly less than that before operation(P<0.05), then it recovered at postoperative 1 month and compared with preoperation, there was no significant difference(P>0.05).In NRA/PRA、accommodative response and accommodative facility, there were no significant difference s before and after operation (P > 0.05);Compared between the two groups, there were no significant differences in AMP、 NRA/PRA 、 AR and AF at different time points (P > 0.05) .Conclusion After FS-LASIK,the AMP appears to decrease temporarily ,and then gradually recover;FS-LASIK surgery may have no harmful effects on myopic patients, accommodative function.
