Abstract:
: Objective To analyze the incidence rate of the three major salivary gland tumors in the department of stomatology of the affiliated hospital of Xuzhou Medical University in the past 5 years, to preliminarily understand the incidence trend of three salivary gland tumors in this area. Methods A retrospective clinical analysis was conducted on 412 cased of salivary gland tumors admitted to the department of stomatology of Xuzhou Medical University Hospital from 201 3~2018, including: gender , age , location , clinical feature and pathological patterns . Results Among the 412 patients , t he age of onset was 1~92 years, the average age of onset was 51.4 years old; 247 males (59.95%) ,the average age of onset was 55.4 years old;165 females (40.05%),the average age of onset was 45 years old. The peak age of tumor onset was 41~70 years old, among which the benign tumor was more likely to occur in 41~60 years old, and the malignant tumor was more likely in 61~70 years old . Parotid gland was the most common disease site(368 cases,89.32%). Benign tumors accounted for about 86.96%(320 cases), among which pleomorphic adenomas were the most common(159 cases) and malignant tumors were 48 cases, among which mucoepidermoid carcinoma(15 cases) was the most common. Conclusions Among the three major salivary gland tumors in this region, the peak incidence is 41~70 years old; Pleomorphic acdenoma is a common benign tumor, Warthin tumors often occur in the parotid gland, and male patients were more than female ones; Mucoepidermoid carcinoma and adenoid cystic carcinoma are common malignant tumor.
