Abstract:
Objective Explore the effect of quality control circle management tools in reducing the incidence rate of non-standard medical wastes disposal in transfusion room at pediatric outpatients. Methods In 2018, 280 cases of medical wastes disposal in transfusion room at pediatric outpatients from January 15 to February 12 and June 1 to June 28, respectively, were selected as observation group and control group. A quality control circle was set up to investigate the status quo, set goals, analyze the causes and draw up corresponding countermeasures. Compare the incidence of irregular disposal of medical wastes pre and post the activities to confirm the effect of the activities. Results The rate of non-standard disposal of medical wastes in transfusion room at pediatric outpatients was reduced from 58.93% to 27.64% significantly ((2=39.45,P<0.001) after the implement of quality control circle management. Conclusions The application of quality control circle can reduce the incidence of nonstandard disposal of medical wastes and standardized management of medical waste in transfusion room at pediatric outatients.
