    An experimental study on the sedative and hypnotic effects of onion in dry red wine

    • 摘要: 目的探究洋葱干红葡萄酒对小鼠的镇静催眠作用。方法昆明种小鼠68只,随机分为4组:蒸馏水组、洋葱乙醇溶液组、干红葡萄酒组、洋葱干红葡萄酒组,分别予以等容积灌胃,2次/天,连续5天。测定小鼠自主活动次数及戊巴比妥钠催眠剂量下的睡眠潜伏期和睡眠时间。结果与蒸馏水组相比,洋葱干红葡萄酒组小鼠的自主活动次数显著减少,睡眠潜伏期缩短,睡眠时间延长,差异有统计学意义(P<0.01);洋葱乙醇溶液组和干红葡萄酒组小鼠的自主活动次数显著减少,睡眠潜伏期缩短,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05),但睡眠时间比较差异无统计学意义(P>0.05)。结论洋葱干红葡萄酒对小鼠有一定的镇静催眠作用。

       

      Abstract: ObjectiveTo explore the sedative and hypnotic effects of onion in dry red wine on mice. MethodsA total of 68 Kunming mice were randomly divided into four groups: a distilled water group, an onion in ethanol group, a dry red wine group, an onion in dry red wine group. The mice were given the same volume of medicine twice per day for five days. Then, their spontaneous activities, sleeping latency and sleeping time after administration of hypnotic doses of pentobarbital sodium were evaluated. ResultsCompared with the distilled water group, the onion in dry red wine group showed remarkably reduced spontaneous activities, shortened sleeping latency and prolonged sleeping time (P<0.01). In contrast, the onion in ethanol group and the onion in dry red wine group presented statistical difference in spontaneous activity and sleeping latency (P<0.05), rather than sleeping time (P>0.05). ConclusionsOnion in dry red wine contributes to certain sedative and hypnotic effects on mice.
