Abstract:
ob<x>jective: To explore the application efficacy of a pain self-management application for cancer pain patients. Methods: 80 patients with cancer pain were recruited by convenience sampling method on the Department of Oncology and the Department of Pain in a Grade III-A General Hospital in Xuzhou between November 2018 and October 2019. They are randomly assigned to control group and intervention group. Both groups get routine care, and telephone follow-up is conducted every two weeks after discharge. Besides, the patients in the intervention group are provided by pain self-management application to implement health management in a personalized way. Results: After implementing the study of 12 weeks, the score of pain condition in intervention group were significantly lower than those in control group(P<0.05). The score of CPSS in intervention group were significantly higher than those in control group(P<0.05). The score of role function, emotional function, cognitive function, social function and general health level in intervention group were significantly higher than those in control group(P<0.05). In symptom field, except nausea and vomiting, insomnia, diarrhea and economic difficulties, the scores of other items were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion: ba<x>sed on application, self-management can alleviate the pain condition of cancer pain patients effectively, improve pain self-efficacy and quality of life.
