Results the quality of life after operation of hypopharyngeal carcinoma was established. The cronbach alpha coefficient and validity were 0.882 and 0.807 respectively.Multivariate analysis: age, occupation, smoking, marital status, economic status and other factors had no statistically significant difference in postoperative quality of life (P>0.05).Clinical stages, surgical methods, postoperative radiotherapy and lymph node dissection had statistically significant effects on postoperative quality of life (P<0.05). Conclusion the table reliability and validity of postoperative quality of life of hypopharyngeal carcinoma are good and can be used to evaluate postoperative quality of life.Clinical stage, surgical method, postoperative radiotherapy and lymph node dissection are the main factors influencing postoperative quality of life.
