    Research progress on Momordica charanti-derived extracellular vesicle-like particles

    • 摘要: 细胞外囊泡是由细胞分泌的纳米级囊泡,具有脂质双层膜的囊状结构,富含核酸、蛋白质和脂质等物质,在细胞间通讯和信号传递等生物学过程中发挥重要作用。细胞外囊泡通常来源于动物、植物及细菌等。苦瓜来源细胞外囊泡样颗粒(苦瓜细胞外囊泡)作为从药用植物苦瓜中提取的纳米级囊泡,近年来因在多种疾病治疗中的潜在应用价值而受到广泛关注。本综述聚焦苦瓜细胞外囊泡在神经保护、心脏保护、抗肿瘤和皮肤损伤修复等方面的治疗潜力和面临的挑战,为后续研究提供新的思路。

       

      Abstract: Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are nanoscale vesicles secreted by cells, characterized by a lipid bilayer membrane and enriched with nucleic acids, proteins, lipids, and other substances. They play an important role in intercellular communication, signal transduction, and other biological processes. EVs typically originate from animals, plants, and bacteria. Momordica charanti-derived extracellular vesicle-like particles (referred to as Momordica charanti EVs) are nanoscale vesicles extracted from the medicinal plant Momordica charanti, which have attracted widespread attention in recent years due to their potential applications in the treatment of various diseases. This review focuses on the therapeutic potential of Momordica charanti EVs in neuroprotection, cardioprotection, anti-tumor effects, and skin injury repair, as well as the challenges they face, providing new ideas for future research.
