Abstract:
Objective To explore the application of integrated health care model in patients with oral and maxillofacial malignancy.
Methods A total of 106 oral cancer patients who underwent flap transplantation in Xuzhou Central Hospital from October 2016 to September 2018 were selected as a routine group. Meanwhile, 168 oral cancer patients who underwent flap transplantation in Xuzhou Central Hospital from October 2018 to September 2020 were selected as a study group. The routine group received conventional nursing care, while the study group received integrated health care model. Both groups were compared for their postoperative condition, the length and expense of hospitalization stay and nursing care satisfaction.
Results Compared with the routine group, the study group presented decreases in the incidences of flap necrosis, pulmonary infection and deep venous thrombosis as well as the length and expense of hospitalization stay, with improved nursing care satisfaction (
P<0.05).
Conclusions The integrated health care mode can improve the awareness of medical staff towards perioperative complications in patients with oral and maxillofacial malignancy, promote patient rehabilitation, and improve patient satisfaction.
