Abstract:
Objective: To investigate the expression of GLUT-1 and in human colorectal adenocarcinoma tissues and explore its correlation with clinical pathological parameters of colorectal cancer. Methods The expression of GLUT-1 in 50 specimens of colorectal adenomacarcinoma tissues,30 colorectal adenoma tissues and 50 specimens of normal colorectal tissues were detected by immunohistochemistry technique. The correlation between its expression and the elinieopathologie features was analyzed. Results Immunohistochemistry results showed tha the positive expression rates of GLUT-1 protein in colorectal normal tissues, colorectal adenoma tissues and colorectal adenoma tissues were 16.00% (8/50), 40.00% (20/50) and 68.00% (34/50),and there were statistical differences,P<0.001.Western-blot results showed that the expression level in normal colorectal, colorectal adenoma, and colorectal adenomacarcinoma tissues were (0.17±0.05),(0.50±0.03),and (0.84±0.06),and there were statistical differences,P<0.001.The expression level of GLUT-1 increased gradually and there was statistical significance from TNM I to IV stage,P<0.001.The expression of GLUT-1 was correlated with the depth of tumor invasion, differentiation degrees, lymph node metastasis, vessel invasion and liver metastasis,P<0.05.The expression of GLUT-1 in CEA (+) and CA199 (+) tissues was higher than that in CEA (-) and CA199 (-) tissues,P<0.05.The expression of GLUT-1 had no correlations with tumor size. Conclusions The abnormal expression of GLUT-1 in colorectal adenocarcinoma tissues plays an important role in the process of cancer, and is expected to become the new tumor monitoring indicators, which provide scientific Evidence for clinical treatment
