Abstract
Objective To investigate the effects of fenofibrate combined with ezetimibe on metabolic indexes and vascular endothelial function in type 2 diabetes mellitus with hyperlipidemia. Methods A total of 120 patients with type2 diabetes mellitus complicated with hyperlipidemia were randomly divided into experimental group and control group(n=60 each). The experimental group was treated with fenofibrate combined with ezymeb, while the control group was treated with ezymeb alone. The metabolic indexes and vascular endothelial function of the two groups were observed after treatment. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the experimental group was significantly higher than that in the control group(93.33% vs.66.67%,P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of serum total cholesterol(TC),triglycerides(TG),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),fasting plasma glucose(FPG),2-hour postprandial blood glucose(2 hPG),plasminogen activator inhibitor-1(PAI-1)and endothelin-1(ET-1)were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05),while high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)and nitric oxide(NO)were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions Fenofibrate combined with ezetimibe has a good curative effect on type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with hyperlipidemia. It can effectively improve the metabolic indexes such as blood lipid, blood glucose and endothelial function. It is worthy of clinical application.
