Imaging features of CT examination of intestinal and mesenteric injury caused by closed abdominal trauma

    • Objective To explore the diagnostic value of CT examination of intestinal and mesenteric injury caused by closed abdominal trauma and the imaging features of CT examination. Methods A total of 40 cases of suspected blunt abdominal trauma caused by intestinal and mesenteric injury from November 2016 to November 2017 were selected in this study. All the patients underwent CT examination. Through the imaging results of CT examination and clinical symptoms, the patients were diagnosed and judged. The results of CT examination and pathological examination were compared. At the same time, the imaging features of different types of patients were studied and analyzed. Results The coincidence rate of CT diagnosis was 97.50% and the missed diagnosis rate was 2.50%. There was no significant difference between CT examination and pathological examination (P>0.05). The main imaging features of CT examination were abdominal free gas, hemorrhage and effusion between abdominal and intestinal spaces, intestinal wall thickening and edema, intestinal wall hematoma and mesenteric edema. Conclusions CT examination has a good diagnostic value in the diagnosis of intestinal and mesenteric injury caused by closed abdominal trauma, and can effectively improve the diagnostic coincidence rate of patients. Patients with different types of injury have more significant CT imaging features.
