Determination of the control indicators of obstetric antibacterial agents by control indicators based on prescription comments

Objective To determine reasonable control indicator of obstetric antimicrobial agents, so as to promote the standard application of antibacterial agents. Methods Medical records of obstetric patients from January to March, 2018 in Xuzhou Cancer Hospital were retrospectively selected for prescription comments on antimicrobial drug use, and unreasonable prescriptions were ideally corrected. The rate and intensity of antibacterial drug use before and after correction were statistically analyzed. Results The rate and intensity of obstetric antibacterial drug use were 80.77% and 18.40 defined daily doses (DDDs) in 100 persons in one day before correction, and 50.77% and 9.19 DDDs in 100 persons in one day after correction. The unreasonable use of antibacterial drug in the episiotomy was the biggest factor for the change of antimicrobial control indicators. Conclusions Antibiotic prescription comments and ideally corrections can faciliate the determination of the control indicators of obstetric antibacterial agents and improve the scientific management of antibacterial drugs.
