Abstract
Objective To explore the influence of family centered nursing mode on the psychological state and quality of life of patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) undergoing chemotherapy. Methods A total of 96 NSCLC patients admitted to Nanjing Hospital Affiliated to Nanjing Medical University from January 2015 to December 2017 were randomly divided into control group and study group using double color ball method, with 48 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing, and the study group was given family centered nursing. The mental state, sleep quality, cancer-related fatigue, adverse reactions and quality of life of the two groups were compared before and after nursing. Results There was no significant difference in Self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS), Self-rating Depression Scale (SDS), Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), cancer-related fatigue and quality of life between the two groups before nursing (P>0.05). After nursing, SAS, SDS, PSQI, cancer-related fatigue and adverse reactions of the study group were significantly lower than those of the control group (P<0.01), and the quality of life score was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.01). Conclusions Family centered nursing mode can effectively alleviate the bad mood, improve the sleep quality, reduce the cancer-related fatigue, reduce the incidence of adverse reactions, and improve the quality of life of NSCLC patients, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
