Abstract
Objective To explore the effects of rehabilitation nursing intervention on patients undergoing Ilizarov ring external fixation. Methods A total of 60 patients with traumatic clubfoot were enrolled in the current study. They were randomly divided into two groups: a control group (n=30)and an observation group (n=30). The control group received routine nursing care, while the observation group was given rehabilitation nursing care. Then, the pain and ankle function of the two groups were observed. Their complications were also recorded. Results After treatment, the observation group produced remarkably reduced scores of Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), with enhanced rehabilitation of the ankle joint and improved ankle joint function, compared with the control group(P<0.05). The incidence of complications was lower in the observation group than that of the control group (6.67% vs 33.33%, P<0.05). Conclusions After rehabilitation nursing care, patients undergoing Ilizarov ring external fixation havegood recovery and few complications, which is worthwhile to be promoted.
