    Olfactory inflammation and Pakinson disease

    • Pakinson disease (PD) is a common neurodegenerative disease, and its pathogenesis has not yet been clarified. Clinically, PD patients are characterized by motor symptoms such as static tremor and bradykinesia, but non-motor system symptoms, including olfactory dysfunction, occur several years before motor symptoms. Recent studies have shown that neuroinflammation plays an important role in PD, and related researches based on the olfactory system are increasing. This article reviews the susceptibility of olfactory system inflammation and its research progress in PD.
