Abstract
Objective To study the effects of solution-focused mode on postoperative subjective and objective feelings, disease cognition degree and negative emotions in cataract patients. Methods A total of 90 cataract patients who underwent cataract surgery in Xuzhou First People's Hospital from January 2016 to January 2018 were enrolled in this study. The patients were divided into an observation group and a control group by the random number table method, 45 cases in each group. The control group received routine nursing, while the observation group received solution-focused mode on the basis of routine nursing. The satisfaction scores with nursing were compared between the two groups. The low-vision quality of life scale (LVQOL) was referred to evaluate postoperative subjective and objective feelings. The basic knowledge of cataract surgery and question-and-answer drills of precautions were performed to compare disease cognition degree in both groups. The negative emotions of patients before and after treatment were recorded by Self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) and Self-rating Depression Scale (SDS). Results There was no significant difference in nursing technique and nursing attitude scores between the observation group and the control group (P>0.05). The score of nursing health education in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). There were no statistically significant differences in the SAS score and SDS score of the two groups in terms of pre-nursing adjustment ability, reading and fine work ability, distant vision, and disease cognition (P>0.05). In the observation group, post-nursing adjustment ability, reading and fine work ability, distant vision score and disease cognition degree were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05), while SAS score and SDS score were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusions Solution-focused mode can significantly improve postoperative subjective and objective feelings of patients undergoing cataract surgery, and enhance their disease cognition degree, and reduce their negative emotions.
