Abstract
Objective To investigate whether the protective effect of small molecule PF429242 on cerebral ischemia-reperfusion in mice is related to inhibition of the expression of inflammatory factor IL-6.Methods Mice were divided into five groups. A middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO) model was prepared by the thread embolism method. The protective effect of PF429242 on cerebral ischemia-reperfusion in mice was preliminarily evaluated by TTC staining. The apoptosis of cells in different brain regions was observed by H-E staining. The expression of IL-6 was evaluated by Western blot.Results PF429242 reduced infarct volume, brain cell apoptosis, and the expression of IL-6 protein in brain tissue.Conclusions The protective effect of PF429242 on cerebral ischemia-reperfusion in mice is related to its inhibition of inflammatory reaction after cerebral ischemia-reperfusion in mice.
