Evaluation of left ventricular function in patients with hypertension by exercise gated myocardial perfusion imaging

    • Objectives to assess the left ventricular function in hypertensive patients by rest/exercise gated myocardial perfusion imaging, and to assess the correlation between hypertension and left ventricular function. Methods hypertension group of 21 cases , no complications, LVEF>50% , age 55.53± 17.61 years old. Normal blood pressure control group of 16 cases, age 46.25 + 12.97. All people underwent rest/exercise gated myocardial perfusion imaging to obtain the left ventricular indicators l. Results no statistical difference was found in the resting state left ventricular functional parameters between the two groups. After exercise, exercise PFR and △PFR (exercise / restPFR) of patients with hypertension were significantly lower than those of people without hypertension (2.22± 0.77 to 3.56 ±0.83; 0.89 ±0.28 to 1.52 ± 0.39, P<0.01); systolic function parameters △ ESV ( exercise / rest ESV ) of patients with hypertension significantly higher than those of people without hypertension (0.88 ±0.24 to 0.69 ± 0.16; P<0.05), △ LVEF (exercise / rest EF ) were significantly lower than those of people without hypertension (1.02 ± 0.12 to 1.10 ± 0.07; P<0.01). taking the hypertension group s as the research object, the multiple linear regression analysis showed that gender, myocardial remodeling, the treatment effect of hypertension and hypertension grade were independent risk factors for △PFR(P<0.05), myocardial remodeling, the treatment effect of hypertension and hypertension grade were independent risk factors for △1/3 MFR(P<0.05).Conclusions exercise gated myocardial perfusion imaging is an effective method for early response of left ventricular diastolic dysfunction and impaired contractile reserve function. Hypertension is an independent risk factor for left ventricular diastolic dysfunction. Hypertension and its left ventricular remodeling are independent risk factors for left ventricular diastolic function
